Is Canberra worth extra time beyond a wildlife lodge stay?

A wildlife lodge is the reason for my trip. I could leave straight after it or add one or two days in Canberra. What else would make an extended stay worthwhile?

    For a nature-focused extension, compare the National Arboretum and Botanic Gardens with the zoo area, then map the transfers. This gives the extra day a different shape from the lodge experience.

    Add time if national museums, galleries or the Australian War Memorial appeal to you. Choose one or two institutions rather than treating them as quick photo stops, and check each one's current exhibitions and visiting hours.
