How can I visit the Botanic Gardens if I cannot walk far?

I will stay in central Canberra and want to visit the Australian National Botanic Gardens, but an injury makes a long walk from a bus stop difficult. What is a practical way to arrive?

    The Gardens' current visitor directions say the nearest regular bus stop is about 1.3 kilometres from the entrance. If that is too far, a taxi or rideshare to the main entrance is a sensible option for this short trip.
