Should I rent a car for Floriade and an early Canberra Airport flight?

We will be in Canberra for a few days around Floriade and need to reach the airport early one morning. Would a rental car help, or can we use the festival shuttle and a booked ride?

    For Floriade itself, check the current free shuttle and parking map before renting a car just for the festival. The 2026 shuttle links the city, National Triangle and Commonwealth Park, while nearby roadworks affect some access routes.
